Signed, Tora's Mom

Tora is an Akita that other trainers have told me (even a well known dog trainer on TV) I should have him put down because "once a dog has had the taste of blood from killing animals you cannot break the habit". My dog has killed my cats, and my livestock. I just could not do that to him. I must have contacted about 25 or more trainers in the area. I got the same response from all of them except for K9 Northwest. I just happened to stumble upon them on Craigs List. I called and expected to get the same answer, have him put down, except they said for me to bring him to the meeting and see what he can do.

We went to the first meeting with the choker, two ropes and a long horse lounge line. Tora and I have been going to the training classes for a year now and I am so proud of these trainers at the k9 Northwest. They have turned Tora the KILLING AKITA into a well trained dog that can be put in a stay position next to another dog without any sign of an attitude at all. Because of the training Tora has had with the trainers Tora now lives in the yard with our Miniature Donkey. The donkey and Tora have been seen lying together and the donkey follows Tora all over the yard. Tora is now trained so well that he is being trained to do special tasks for me when I take him into public. These trainers are MIRACLE WORKERS in my eyes and everyone else that knew Tora in the past

Our family has owned German Shepherds since 1960. We have met many trainers, and K9 Northwest rises above all of them. Melissa's experience coupled to a natural ability and genuine affection makes this club fun and successful. These dogs are obedient, well adjusted, and social .Losing a dog because of a bite is certainly an owner's worst nightmare. We have no reservations taking dogs out in public knowing they will not snap at other animals, curious children or adults. There are many dog trainers. If you want the best, call K9 Northwest.

"Melissa of K9 Northwest was wonderful helping with our Mastiff, a new rescue dog. We have many pets including chickens, cats and rabbits and choose an English Mastiff for their tendency to be compatible with other creatures and a low prey drive. He had killed one of our chickens and we were concerned that, due to his previous life, he had a more developed prey drive and needed to teach him to leave the other animals alone. Melissa came to our house and within a one hour session, taught our dog not to even look at the other animals and gave us the tools to reinforce the lesson. He has been very responsive to the training and is doing well."
