Many of you have seen the news and know about the German Shepherd rescue in Texas that is shutting down. They have literally HUNDREDS of shepherds that will be placed in high kill shelters or euthanized if we don't help! Here is a link to the article. CLICK HERE...
K9 Northwest and a dedicated group of volunteers have banded together and are making an emergency transport to Texas to bring home 30 of these dogs to adopt here in Washington. Many of the dogs we are bringing home most of the last dogs that other rescues did not want. We are even bringing back a 3 legged German shepherd!
CASH DONATIONS! We are in desperate need of cash donations to help cover the high gas expenses and care for these dogs when they return. Please consider donating in a loved one's name. All donations will be listed on the trip blog.
HOW CAN YOU HELP? We are in need of foster homes for these dogs. Foster homes have first choice in adopting the foster they have if they choose so. If you would like to foster please contact us at K9Northwest@aol.com with the details of your home. Kids, other animals, what type of animals? This way we can match your home with the best foster possible.
WE ARE IN DESPERATE NEED OF CRATES! Medium and large crates are needed for the transport and fostering of these dogs. Can you donate a crate?
SUPPLIES ARE NEEDED! We need toys, bones, chew items, flea control, "home vet care" supplies, and DOG FOOD.
